The Climbing Lab

An existing industrial unit was waiting to be transformed into a functional climbing wall arena, working with EntrePrise climbing walls we undertook a site inspection to determine the condition and existing loading regime of the structure and followed this with a technical review of the proposed new loading to determine that the space had adequate structural capacity to support the new installation.

Our Structural engineering department were responsible for the structural design at this popular Leeds climbing centre, this involved witting out an existing industrial unit for use as a climbing/bouldering activity centre. Works involved; masonry wall checks, lintel designs, and various load cases to assess how the climbing structures would effect the existing structure.

We enjoy the opportunity to work on a range of projects, and for this one in particular a number of our team have since become members and frequent visitors to the lab.
