Our Winning Environmental Team
We have recently strengthened our geo-environmental team with the appointment of Andrew Dickinson, (more on Andrew below) as Head of Environmental Services.
Our environmental team includes new and existing staff, but has been created to assist our clients in their one stop shop for land acquisition, development and due diligence. And, because most of this team has been exposed to providing tender winning designs, they will provide you with solutions that balance risk with opportunities to ensure that you maximize your land, development and profits.
The team offers:
• Geo-environmental engineering from Desk Top Study, through to a final Validation Report
• Full Flood Risk Assessment, including sequential testing to bring your site to the front of the list
• Drainage appraisal and SUDS
• Highway appraisal to ensure that you can gain access to your site
• Brown Field Appraisal, to find the most cost effective solution to remediate the site
• Advice on the recovery of tax relief relating to remediation and derelict land
• Energy management advice
• Manage sub-consultants in respect of ecology, noise, air quality and archaeology
• And coming soon, traffic and transportation engineering
New Recession Busting Product. - Pre-Purchase Review
We recognize, in these recessionary times, that our clients need to grasp potentially great land opportunities but have to weigh up risk of buying lkand blind, versus the cost of identifying potential problems or hidden opportunities.
For instance, you may have a few potential sites that you are interested in but don’t want to commit to a full set of pre-planning studies, but want something a bit more than a ‘feels right factor’.
However, there are three big risks when looking at a potential site; flooding, ground conditions and the impact that our industrial heritage has had on the site as potential sources of contamination.
To fill this gap, we have created a new product to give you that level of confidence at a reasonable cost. This product is our Pre-Purchase Review which includes:
• a flood risk statement
• a review of the historical maps of the site for any indications of an industrial heritage and potential contamination
• a quick look at the local geological map to identify potential ground and foundation issues
All this, including disbursements for a small fee of £500 plus VAT.
And what’s even better, if you do want to proceed with a site, all the information, including the historical maps are all needed for the full planning pack, so none of this cost is wasted as we will deduct it from the respective reports.
If you don’t proceed, you have only put £500 at risk.
Pre-Purchase Review – Don’t Miss out on our Free Summer Offer
To introduce this new product and help kick start the market, we are offering each new and existing clients one free Pre-Purchase Review report.
This offer is open till the end of August and represents a great opportunity for those of you biting your nails over a potential site. But, you may ask, “How can we possibly provide this service for free.” It’s really simple; we will be out of pocket and make an initial loss, but in the long-term, the rewards will be there for both of us.
If you want to take us up on this fabulous offer, then email andrewd@pwaite.co.uk with your potential site and contact details, or ring Andrew or Tim on 01535 633350.
