Graduate Training Programme

Key to Paul Waite Associates vision are the people. Excellent leadership, Highly Developed teams , Excellent communication and Quality in Design are a number of our Critical Success Factors (CSF), a key part of delivering the vision is the training programme.

Not only does this training programme deliver quality to our clients it also paves the way for continued growth and career opportunities within Paul Waite Associates.
The training scheme offers a structured development programme which aligns with the requirements of our professional institutions (ICE and IStructE) for Chartered, Incorporated and Technician membership.

The scheme forms a partnership between you (the graduate) and Paul Waite Associates. We offer the training and development needs to achieve your own aspirations as well as those set out be the relevant institutes. In return to our commitment we look for you to set your goals high, capitalise on the opportunities, achieve your goals and obtain membership to your chosen institution.

Graduates Role

Graduates must complete regular quarterly reports demonstrating lessons learnt, progress and achievement of core objectives. The graduate is responsible for organising meetings with their Training Manager (TM) on a quarterly basis (though not responsible for the setting of Performance Development reviews (PDR’s).

Reports must be submitted to the TM a minimum of 7 days before the meeting. The report should typically consist of 1500-2000 words (although not limited to) and include sketches / photographs / calculations as you feel appropriate.

Although Paul Waite Associates will offer all of your training requirements to obtain chartered or incorporated status the main beneficiary of the system is you. Therefore it is your responsibility to take advantage of the opportunities offered and keep up to date with your quarterly reports and objectives as well as bringing to light any specific training requirements or potential problems.

You will need to be pro-active rather than re-active and show high levels of will and motivation.

Your overall progress will be reviewed at quarterly meetings and at your annual PDR and will be directly linked to your career development and aspirations at Paul Waite Associates.
